Do you mean you want xfm installed on GamerOS?
What are you trying to accomplish?

I would like to send files like roms for old emulators using external hard disk drive

I don't think a file manager will let you do that though.
In the next release you will be able to enable an ftp service to copy files, but uploaded files are not automatically added to Steam.
If you upload files through the web interface the ROM files will be added to Steam as shortcuts automatically.

External disks are not mounted automatically. You will need to mount the drive and copy the files from the command line.

I think that you could use the same form like (https://batocera.org/) batocera. When press F1 key, open file manager and the drives are mounted automatically.
