lectocal's Issues

Unicode error with danish characters

Issue originally described here: Hanse00#25

Hi LecToCal smart people.

I have tried using this, many times, un-installing and reinstalling since this is the limit of my python knowledge.

I then went through the changed lectocal.py and found out the error:
SyntaxError: (unicode error) 'utf-8' codec can't decode byte 0xc6 in position 0: invalid continuation byte
is connected to the letter "ร†" and the sign "!".

Without these, the script will run.
But nothing happens.

I have no succes with any other fix. Can someone help?

The LecToCal with user-specific Lectio.py runs all the way to the end but writes nothing in the calendar

Hello Chubby1968 - and others

I hope that I made this "new issue" in the correct manner, since I have been writing in the same old chat-string which originates at Hanse00. Sorry for that, sometimes I am a bit slow to figure things out.

Apropos, I did the change in the Lectio.py
I edited with my user-and-password
Saved it with Notepad++ as an ANSI not a UTF-8
Saved it and replaced the Lectio.py in Python/Lib/sitepackages/LecToCal

I then run the script as before - it has worked for me in this exact manner before the password-upgrade thing:

python -m lectocal.run 5xx teacher 29200xxx

I copy-paste the command from the same file as before :)
I redid the oauth just in case and I have a json file at proper folder.

The scripts runs all the way to the end. No complaints related to ร† or to color or anything. After a while the next line in Commando Prompt simply appears - just as with the original LecToCal.

But, despite doing in with various versions of Lectio.py (ANSI, UTF-8-BOM, endian big and little (?)) and I have (just with my eyes) seen that my file looks a lot like yours and the 287 lines seem to be in order, nothing is written to my g-calendar.

----- I have checked ---- :
It makes a new layer/calendar called Lectio, if I have deleted this layer in my cal.
But it is empty.

The current version is "saved as ANSI" and this and my personal information are the only changes I have done.

Can anyone figure this out? Has this fix worked for anyone?
