DESCRIPTION

The BlackBerry JDE API does not provide API to create ZIP archives. ZipPacker has been created to partially solve this issue. With ZipPacker it’s possible to pack a bunch of files/directories into a one ZIP archive format file. Please, note, ZipPacker is a partial solution because it uses zero compression only.

Usage

The ZipPacker API is pretty straightforward:

ZipPacker.pack("file:///SDCard/dir_to_pack/", "file:///SDCard/packed.zip")

Here we’ve just packed the contents of “file:///SDCard/dir_to_pack/” directory to the “file:///SDCard/packed.zip” file.

EXAMPLES

The source code contains ZipPackerSampleApplication as a sample application. The application creates a simple file structure on SDCard and then packs it.
