I'm Firefox 122.0, I have the setting changed in about:config but it's still not working at all even after restarting browser. I'm not using incognito mode.

Clicking upload on anything just brings up the standard upload prompt instead of using the extensions

Every time the popup gets showed, the whole page becomes gray. Also i'm pretty sure the popup color is not supposed to be white, judging from the screenshots. It's worth noting that i'm using LibreWolf.

I've set dom.events.asyncClipboard.clipboardItem to true and restarted my Firefox. Nothing shows up when uploading to Google reverse image search or uploading to redmine tickets.

The issue seems specific to macOS (I used macOS 12.0.1) since I couldn't reproduce it on Windows (it opens the file browser dialog box as expected).

When a .pdf copied in Finder is in the clipboard, the extension should see that there's no usable image data and bring up the file selection, but instead it causes the tab to stop responding properly. According to devtools console, the error is Error: Invalid encoded image data. I've tested with a few pdfs, and it happens with files as small as 72KB, so it doesn't seem dependent on the exact pdf used.

More on the crash behavior: the tab seems to still run, but it becomes impossible to click on most things. (The arrow cursor doesn't turn into a hand, and buttons don't work.) However, I found one exception on Google Images: Google's own "Search by Image" box is dismissed after one click (anywhere), then the page is locked up. It's as if the page knows when but not where I click.

(I wouldn't expect the extension to interpret the pdf as an image; it's just that it happens when the last thing copied is a pdf.)

In icloud only JPEG images are uploadable. Is it possible to use JPEG format instead of PNG? Since I think that it's more "universal".

If not, can you tell me how to edit myself the firefox addon file in my system to support jpg? Where is the addon located? (I have ArchLinux)

I tried just replacing every occurance of "png" inside /home/allexj/.mozilla/firefox/lyn3g2r2.default-release/extensions/{7343f7d1-e6ef-4d8a-8449-d4c18850f559}.xpi/content_script/content.js but now the addon does not work at all :/ I guess I have tried
