GTA IV ScriptHookDotNet from HazardX with a IV-SDK .NET translation layer on-top to make mods created with ScriptHookDotNet work with IV-SDK .NET! - No more rain bug!

Limitations / Bugs

There might be things which are not yet implemented, mods that simply crash the game or other weird bugs. Please open up a new issue in the issues page with the mod that you are having trouble with, the error the mod might be spitting out and a basic steps to reproduce this problem section.

Issues with this project

  • Project is quite stable right now!

How do i report a mod which isn't working as expected?

If you got as ScriptHookDotNet mod which is not quite working as expected, or it does not work the same as it did on the old ScriptHookDotNet, please post a new issue.

For the best chances of the problem being solved, here's what you should put in your issue:

  • * Obviously the name of the mod, please also put the name in the title.
  • * The version you tested this mod on (e.g. 1070, 1080 or whatever).
  • * The version of IV-SDK .NET you currently have (Can be checked if you open up the in-game console by pressing "F4").
  • * The version of the ScriptHookDotNet.dll file that is placed in the "IVSDKDotNet -> bin" folder.
  • The content of the IV-SDK .NET log file.
  • Preferable a link to the download page of the mod.

* = Definitely required. Issues that not have this might get closed.

The game crashes when trying to use the mod!

I tried "InGAME WPL EDITOR (scripthook mod)" on the new IVSDK 1.3, and there is a report, namely: the config file .ini of this mod is readable, but as soon as I try to start using the mod itself (launch via a specific key), the game crashes!

Also, when I try to simply launch the console via F4, the game also crashes. But - if I remove this mod, then launching the same console on F4, the game does not crash and everything starts as it should!

Mods that are NOT working

Here's a list of currently all mods that are absolutely not working, and might be hard to diagnose.

  1. LCPDFR
  • Only tested on 1.0.8.0, it might work on 1.0.7.0?
  • It crashes the game when the mod is loading.

Scripthook.net configuration files are not read correctly (or at all)

I have been experimenting with different scripthook.net mods, namely Pickups V2.0 (https://www.gtagaming.com/pickups2-0-f23960.html) and Cautious Drivers (https://www.gtagaming.com/cautious-drivers-v1-3-f9052.html).
Now it seems like Pickups V2.0 does work by itself, any changes made in the configuration using the included .ini file of the mod are not being read at all.
Cautious Drivers is a fairly simple mod it will not even load (most likely because it cant read the config file)

Some mods like Arrest Warrant (https://www.gtagaming.com/arrest-warrant-updated-2-21-15-f10271.html) work, but again, nothing takes effect after changing .ini settings.

Easily reproducible issue , try any of these mods, try changing .ini settings like toggling weapon glow in pickups or alert indicator in Arrest warrant .ini files and see for yourself that no configuration files are being read.

Additionally the mods themselves only load when put into a 'scripts' folder inside the GTAIV main directory and don't work when placed inside the '\IVSDKDotNet\scripts'
