Introduction

This document describes the rationale, definitions and benefits of DevSecOps and its related practices.

This document is written in AsciiDoc using Metanorma-CSAND, the Metanorma flavor for “CSA Normal Documents”.

Usage

General

This document is built using Metanorma.

Fetching the document

git clone https://github.com/riboseinc/{repo-name}/

Installing Build Tools

See the Metanorma Quick Start Guide for more information.

Building The Document

make clean all

The following outputs will be built:

CSAND XML ([filename].xml)
HTML ([filename].html)
PDF ([filename].pdf)
Word DOC ([filename].doc)

Iterating the document

make html
open *.html

Deployment

The built artifacts are automatically deployed on GitHub pages.

Target multiple audience groups

We should define our audience groups and how we address them / what kind of content we can deliver. We shouldn't redefine DevOps but must focus on the Security component for DevOps.

What kind of papers should we produce?

Consolidate multiple content files into a single one

Some think is hard to handle changes in multiple files. To simplify things we should consolidate all sections into a single file.

Setup Travis CI for auto-deploy

As title. It was previously set up on the Ribose account, at https://riboseinc.github.io/csand-devsecops-whitepaper/

Change "Agile Security" in working title to "DevSecOps"

As title.
