Victorian Fireplaces

Victorian Fireplaces is an ecommerce site to sell fireplace parts.

1. UX

1.1. Project Goals

Create a ecommerce website for the sale of fireplace parts and accessories.

1.2. User Stories

• As a user, I want to log in
• As an admin, I want to add an Item
• As an admin, I want to view Orders
• As an admin, I want to browse the DB data
• As an logged in user, I want to see all available products
• As an logged in user, to view product details
• As an logged in user, I want to add to my cart

1.3. Design

A clean design was opted for to create a clear uncluttered store for the sale of products.

Wireframes were made using a Remarkable 2 Tablet.

2. Features

2.1. Existing features

• More in depth user features
• More business logic to tabulate orders or keep stock

3. Technologies used

• HTML5 - the structure of the data as represented in the app
• CSS3 - the styling of the elements and responsiveness of the application
• JS - creation of dynamic elements
• Django - Python framework for fullstack web design
• Bootstrap - Used for element styling
• MDB - Additional styling
• VSCode - IDE used to develop the application
• Github - used to host the code repository
• Heroku - used to host full stack application

4. Testing

5. Deployment

The project was deployed with Heroku using S3Buckets for Static and Media storage. One issue was that Heroku live deployment using Github was not functional due to an ongoing security issue.
