Introduction

Visit Falcarragh is a website that is designed to give more information about the local area for people who are considering spending holidays in Falcarragh.

Features

Existing Features

  • Navigation Bar

    • The navigation bar is featured the pages "Home", "Gallery" and "Contact". The history navigation option links to the "History-Container" element which can be found on the homepage. This section allows the user to navigate the webpage easily because the navigation menu is identical across devices. The layout and position of the menu also prevents that user needs to use the "Back" button in the browser.

    • The homepage gives information on why I have chosen to construct this website. This page shares some background information about myself and the village of Falcarragh in County Donegal with the end-user. It contains a video about the village and the area that gives the end-user a good impressions and it also features a video with historical footage.

  • History

    • The history section can be found on the homepage. This page contains historical information about Falcarragh and video footage.
  • Footer

    • The footer contains links to my social media accounts and GitHub repository. I have made the choice to not links these to my social media accounts at this moment but this might happen in the near future. Each link will open in a new window. The Footer section is visable on all pages and encourages users to get in touch.
  • Gallery

    • The Gallery shows a collection of photos that I have made during COVID-19 lockdown to the user. It gives a good impression of the area.
  • Contact

    • The contact page contains a form where users can submit questions that they might have after visiting the webpage. The form will send a direct e-mail to me.

Validation Testing:

The following warning is showing but I have decided to not add text to the Hero Section. warning

Deployment

I have deployed my project by using the following steps:

  1. In the GitHub Repository, navigate to settings.
  2. Select pages in the left column.
  3. Select under "Source" Branch="Main" and folder is "/root"
  4. Once this has been selected, a lint will appear that shows that you webpage has been deployed.

Bugs and Fixes

  • Some images appeared pixelated i have corrected the ones that I thought were pixelated.
