Running 0.05, I noticed about 300Mb being used after a day. Is there a way to check the version number so I can make sure this is, in fact, 0.05? Further, how do we help to debug the memory leaks?

If the dock icon isn't hidden (an option in Preferences), you can select About from the FoursquareX menu to see the version.

The "Instruments" tool, which ships with XCode, is useful for finding memory leaks: http://www.cimgf.com/2008/04/02/cocoa-tutorial-fixing-memory-leaks-with-instruments/

If anyone has some spare cycles to help track the last few leaks down, that would be great!

Thanks for the tip. I verified that I was still running 0.04, even after the update manager "updated". I'll try again with 0.06.

Busy figuring out how to use Instruments. In the meantime, I can describe steps needed to leak memory:

1. Show map
2. Click on Venues
3. Click "refresh"
4. Memory use goes up
5. Refresh fails: "Failed to find your location: The operation could not be completed. (kCLErrorDomain error 0.)
6. Memory is not released.

Hit "refresh" to leak again.

Unfortunately, I'm also running into pretty severe memory leaks with 0.06. Virtual memory usage starts out around 207MB but quickly goes up to 1.2GB after a quick check-in and a map look.
