There are a lot of Single Member Districts. It is far to complicated to put everything on one graph, but then there are a lot of options you have to manage with a pull down choice. Is this too cluttered, are there other better visual ways to do this?

There are resources from our prior work in the open data portal that should be here. Copy into an appropriate side directory.

The current Shiny app is just a wag at showing the historical data. Need a real design to work towards. What do we graph against what. What visualizations are most useful to people.

Somewhat unclear of whether it is best to do this through Code for DC or if I (@fourthfloordoug ) just volunteer to do this myself. Supposedly Code for DC isn't free anymore, but maybe I can be for a while.

Create a docker set up so that people don't have to install all the junk.

Readme is the default from Gatsby, we need to update to something specific to the project.

I've been playing with Victory, but maybe there are better ways. Let me know.

The current one is the base for gatsby. Switch to whatever is common at code for dc.

Currently we have data for elections from 2012 on (i.e. since the last redistricting). While it isn't exactly easy to match up districts pre- and post census, the general trends would still be useful to know. Data can be acquired here:

I believe the app has to be at the top level to run properly. Do some research on this. We can still include a lot of other analysis underneath sub-directories without too much trouble.
