base-image-creator's Issues

check install manifest file

Sometimes the manifest file is filesystem.manifest-remove and sometimes filesystem.manifest-desktop.
We should create both or check and use only one.

Currently, we only create the filesystem.manifest-desktop version.

Check manifest files

CHeck if the manifest file represent what they should: Is everything listed as expected? What does the manifest file mean?

What to do to create an image

  • add install docker command: wget -0- https://get.docker.com | bash if docker is not installed
  • tell the user to log in if it is not pushed and get access to dokerhub

Add Ubuntu remix

The how to change the image can be copied from the ubuntu remix repository.

Check if we can use i386

It might be possible that we can only build amd64 with this as docker is only supported on amd64.
Check if a i386 image works.

Copy parts from meilix

Meilix creates a 32 bit boot also for efi.
Maybe we can copy parts of the meilix installation for the docker/toiso folder.

Add ubuntu server

Add the Ubuntu server image:

  • it has EFI boot
  • we will need to modify it so it works as a live image instead of a install image Therefore, we can have a look at the boot menus of other isos.
