I have an interest in exploring and using such visualisers. But most of them exist for mobile devices. Two good viz I found for Android(not sure if exist on ios) are the following.

Spectrolizer: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aicore.spectrolizer&hl=en_IN

The second one : Spectrolizer is the real deal when it comes to real time! It can actually show you live spectrogram in a beautiful way.

I'm sure these can give you very good ideas on making more visualisation modes.

When the user presses '3' to revolve Ring, there should be an immediate and highly noticeable change in the appearance of Ring. Right now it takes a long time to get started and makes it feel like hitting '3' doesn't actually do anything

Droplet is drawing overlapping lines that is causing them to be bolder than the rest, not really sure why - it implies that the points on a single Ring are surpassing a max angle of TWO_PI, but heres the line where we calculate angle:

float angle = TWO_PI * i / points.length;

and since i < points.length, 0 <= angle < points.length. So I'm guessing that the problem lies where we are actually drawing the vertexes.

Hi, I can't get Animus to work... It opens and shows visuals, but they're not reacting to the music. My guess was that I have give it permisson to use the microphone in the security settings, but it isn't in the list there and I have no idea how to add it to this list of programs which are allowed to use the microphone. Google didn't help me, so I wanted to ask if somebody has an advice? I'd love to be able to use the program.

Would it be possible to allow a chromeless Windowed setting? Would be great to be able to adjust the output resolution to something small enough to use for live streaming visualisation while being able to use/see other open windows

It always seems to want to load it full screen on my Macbook instead of my monitor.

I have changed the main display setting to the monitor but however it still wants it to load on the macbook.

The same happens if I load the program on the monitor screen with pressing continue when it asks.

i've the message in the consol : The function captionLabel() does not exist.
it's line : 318 in animus.pde
.captionLabel().setFont(font).setSize(FONT_SIZE);
any idea ?

I have new mac mini fully updated connected to the USB speakers. When I launched animus i got white screen with no controls at all, had to use Aple + Tab to get out of this. Also no sound. Looks like something is going terribly wrong..

The web page says it will use my built-in microphone. The app says the same thing in an alert when I launch it. This works fine, but I want to use a different audio input. When I select my USB audio input device in System Preferences: Sound and then open Animus, it still pops up an alert saying it will use the built-in microphone, but then it does not appear to get any audio input from anywhere, neither from the built-in microphone nor from the selected audio interface. The volume meter in System Preferences: Sound shows that audio input is being received. This is on macOS Big Sur 11.0.1.

We need to wait until Processing4 alpha3 is released to re-build the app.
People are getting a white screen when they run the app because the app doesn't request for microphone input through Catalina's new security process.

After creating a G4P component, noCursor() rapidly blinks the cursor on and off instead of just turning the cursor off. We need to find an alternative to G4P if we want to hide the cursor.
