Get BARRA archives working

It's possible to drive the nesting suite from BARRA results archived on tape. This will be necessary for the full run.

  • restore bin/install_lbcdata to its original state
  • Join whichever project has the BARRA boundary conditions archived (should be mentioned in the install_lbcdata file)
  • test running the model from the archived BARRA boundary conditions

Experiment run with RA3 science

u-cl575 has RA2 science selected. Update this to the newer RA3 science under 'suite conf -> nesting suite -> nested region 1 -> resolution 1 -> config 1' as a new experiment and compare against RA2 results

Add threading

The original u-bm651 experiment ran with 12x12 processes, with 4 threads each

Threading support needs to be added back in to u-cl575, compare the atmos_resources setup in site/nci-gadi/suite-adds.rc

Set up experiment u-cl575

With u-cl575 we should try to reproduce the 2.2 km domain from Aus400, and see if there are any issues with moving from RA2 to RA3
