lernos-for-you's Issues

Finalize Chapter "Why lernOS"

  • Focus on individual use (not team, organization)
  • Improvement for automatic translation
  • Removal of citations
  • Add mindset, skillset, toolset dimension

Finalize Chapter "lernOS Memex"

  • Add tool-neutral introduction
  • Add OneNote as further example of a memex (from lOScast in August)
  • Make sure download links work

Expand 13-week-structure

Having an individual 1-pager per week will help practitioners. Exercises are referenced from there and classified by mindset, skillset, and toolset.

Finalize Chapter "lernOS Circle"

  • Add image lernOS Circle
  • Add benefit description for practicing lernOS in a circle (compared to practicing alone)
  • Remove tool list, add shorter list of tools that support a circle (from WOL survey)

Finalize Chapter "lernOS Canvas"

  • Create Canvas v1.0
  • A detailled explanation of each element
  • Add "strorytelling" aspect
  • Add anchors for canvas to the weekly agendas (when to fill/modify what)
  • Hint to use it with sticky notes or digital
  • Hint how to use it in WOL Circles

Explain Kata/Dojo

Explain why katas, dojos and retreats are important for livelong learning
Define what it is
To become an export one has to practice

change agenda for week 0

first week 0 will be for new learners, week 0 of following sprints will also include a retrospective of the last sprint.

"In week 0 all organizational issues meetings, communication channels, documentation etc.) and a first version of your objective(s) for the sprint are defined. The objective(s) for the sprint can be refined between week 0 and week 1."

Additionally the first or maybe also the second excercise should be part of week 0.

Remove "mi" From Canvas

The personal Canvas will just be named "lernOS Canvas". Other variants might be named "lernOS Canvas for Teams" etc. Renaming has to be done in ppt, pdf, png and in the folder structure.

Describe a "contribution" guideline

Does it makes sense to have a CONTRIBUTING.md in the repo.

I'm unsure about how to create pull request. How can I support your workflow so that merging is a really easy action for you?

Thx.

Add katas for lernOS Wheel dimensions

  • Katas for 15 sub-competencies of mindset, skillset, and toolset
  • Katas for beginners, advanced, expert level
  • Reduce WOL Kata overlap to a minimum (WOL-lite style)

Define Mindset, Skillset, and Toolset

Create a definition for the three elements of the lernOS Wheel (Mindset, Skillset, and Toolset). Mindset is a set of assumptions, methods, or notations held by one or more people or groups of people. Skillset are a set of skills necessary for being successful in the 21st century. Toolset is the set of tools an organization or individual can use for their learning process.

Define Image Handling and Sizes

Images in the lernOS Guide should be availabe in source format (SVG) and in formats used in the end products (e.g. PNG). Folders, Sizes and resolutions for the markdown version have to be defined and tested. Another issue is the handling of multiple languages in images.

First test should be with the lernOS wheel.

Finalize Chapter "lernOS Kata Catalogue"

  • Remove "Practice New Skills" from heading
  • Refine "Your Future Backwards", Add template for "Your Future Backwards" -> moved to last week, will be refined in version 1.1
  • Add white spaces to katas to use it as a workbook (test for rendering in pdf, ebook etc., full lines vs. cloze/"Lückentext"
  • Test anchor links in different browser
  • Add "Further Information" to katas
  • Add estimated times in exercises for "Talk about the results in the circle" task
  • Add "Pro Tips" to katas
  • Add Images/Sketchnotes to Katas (->@karlcdamke)
  • Add detailed introduction, clarify connection to weekly agendas

Finalize Chapter "lernOS Wheel"

  • Add history with the lernOS Wheel Men (three parts of the wheel)
  • Add explanation of three dimensions mindset, skillset, toolset
  • Add agile, lean, digital, open mindset as sub categrories
  • Add DigiComp 2.1 competencies (PDF) as skill sub categories (cross linked to Mozilla Web Literacy Framework)
  • Add Toolkit with tools identified in WOL survey as sub categories (remove from lernOS Circle chapter)

Finalize Chapter "lernOS Sprint"

  • Add introduction with detailed description, then image, then explanation of week 0 vs. 1-12 vs. next 0
  • Clarify sprint vs. circle, 12 vs. 13 weeks
  • Simplify description

Uncouple lernOS Sprint and Circle and add interface for external styles and katas

Format as style: The sprint is the basic concept that drives livelong learning (and prepares everybody for an agile workstyle). A sprint can be run alone (like GTD), in a peer support group (like WOL) or in other formats that will be defined in the future (e.g. blended learning, reverse mentoring, dojos, moocs, mastermind groups). The sprint should be explained before the circle (switch chapters). A circle is one style to run a sprint.

Add Square Wheel Men

Use the squared wheel men as metaphore for the lernOS Wheel. Ask Hakan Forss for permission.

Replace MST-graphic with english version

Replace the mindset, skillset & toolset graphic on the intro page with an english version. Put a multilingual structure for version control of al graphics of lernos in place.
