Thanks for implementing this library in native Clojure!

Recently DataDog introduced a new type of metric called "Distribution" which is basically histogram raw data where the percentiles are calculated on the server side instead of on the agent / client-side. Can we add support for this please?

Throw an error from the configure! function if the incorrect protocol is used, or the URI is otherwise incompatible. (configure! http://localhost:8125) is an easy mistake to make, and difficult to debug as anything posted to the agent just disappears, but this issue could be prevented by checking at the point of configuration.
