My hope is that as the plugin matures, players will be better integrated with screens, and this should be a rarely-used administrative function. But it should definitely be accessible.
I'm leaning a way from a top menu link; those could pile up quickly. Something I've been thinking about recently has been reviving concerto_plugins#show to show plugin status (detected at boot or not) as well as let the plugin insert things, such as this (see concerto#765). It could be in the form of the list itself or a link to players#index.
However, screens#index isn't a bad idea either, in this specific instance. I'd like to take a little time to develop the plugins index idea; maybe we can experiment and see if it seems viable for this purpose.
