website's Issues

Calculator: input numbers start from zero and be easily < 0

Users can quickly input negative numbers by clicking on the arrows. We could fix this by setting the default number as the suggested one in e.g. XX. At the moment everything starts from 0. Here is an example:

Add a graph on Projections/Graphs page

Michael got feedback that people are confused between Active vs Total detected cases.
In the graph we plot active because total is messing up in terms of range.

So, if you think it is sound, we can add a graph with only total detected cases displayed on this one. Same type of graph, which would be placed just above the current graph.

Calculator 'Technical Details' card displays wrong population number

While cleaning up the code on my dev branch, I noticed labs_population and labs_positive were used when the no_ version of them should have been used. No big deal, the numbers are pretty much the same anyway. Will be fixed when travis gets merged into master soon.

"The out of sample area under the curve (AUC) on {} patients (out of whom {}% deceased) is ".format(labs_population[1],str(int(float(labs_positive[1])*100))),

Invoices and Ownership transition

Hey @galitLukin, did you see the emails from me and Shalene? Maybe you're not using your @mit.edu email anymore so I thought I'd try to reach out like this. It seems kinda urgent. If you didn't see my email please LMK and I'll share it with you somehow again.

TL;DR Shalene needs the July 13th invoice; I got the credit card info; we need to transfer ownership

Sorry that this is happening now, I wish Shalene had reached out to me earlier. I know you're probably busy with other things :-/

Best,
Travis :)

Prepare ventilator allocation page

Quick explanations of the page:

  1. At the beginning of the page a text explaining the motivation will be displayed.

  2. (i) Then we would show on the left side of the page a US coloured map with the shortage of each state across time (with slide bar or calendar to choose from as before).
(ii) On the right side, we would like to display 2 curves on a graph with the exact same design as previously for active/number of deaths, etc

Note: if it is too hard to display something on the left and on the right, display successively is of course okay.

  1. A small graph which is just a x-axis with dots on it (corresponding to the peaks of each state)

Note: Ideally this graph would be displayed just under 2.(ii) on the right side, otherwise okay of course.

  1. The exact map we discussed yesterday with the different scenarios possible regarding reallocation.
However, the users should a priori be able to tune 3 parameters.

We propose to have a very large csv with as columns: c1: state, c2: date, c3: shortage, c4: parameter_1_value, c5: parameter_2_value, c6: parameter_3_value

With this, we could easily filter according to column c4, c5, c6. But there will be a huge number of lines (10 times more than previously). Is it scalable for a smooth screen display?
