hakuna-menubar's Issues

Documentation + GUI for triggers

There is a "hidden" feature that lets you set triggers in your config file. Those can be scripts that get executed either afterStart or afterStop. It would be great if that was documented in the README and it would be even greater if there was a settings GUI where you could change those settings.

See #5 too.

Support for projects

problem statement

  • install the app as described in the readme
  • add company and API key
  • app appears in the menubar
  • if the timer is running (started on the Hakuna website) time is displayed correctly
  • if the timer is running and the pause icon is clicked on the menubar, the timer stops as intended
  • trying to start the timer again is not possible, clicking the play icon has no effect

OS and machine

  • macOS Catalina 10.15.7 (19H15)
  • MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)

Missing way to remove Token

For whatever reason, there might be a need to remove a token (say, changing employment to another co that uses Hakuna - or you are "gifting" your machine to another user... without whipping it... maybe?). Maybe you just want to see the "on-boarding" process again?

Anyway, there should be a way to "log out".

Maybe this will be rolled into #5

Offline mode

If a computer is offline, the Hakuna Menubar app just won't work now. However, it'd be pretty great if it did.

Times could be saved offline and then just synced whenever the computer connects to the internet again. Updates (if something couldn't be synced for example) could be displayed in the dropdown menu.

Settings GUI

There should be a GUI for settings, like the configured API key.

404 on api token link if company missing

Ref:

shell.openExternal(`https://${document.getElementById('company-name').value}.hakuna.ch/token`)

If the "API" link is click before the user has entered the Hakuna sub-domain, the link goes to a 404 on the Hakuna website.

Possible changes are:

  1. Change the flow of the instructions until after the subdomain field
  2. don't show/action the link until the company-name contains a value
  3. Ask Hakuna not to show a 404 ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
