Clone the repo & change into the directory

git clone https://github.com/dabit3/appsync-graphql-real-time-canvas.git

cd appsync-graphql-real-time-canvas

Deploy the GraphQL API

amplify init
amplify push

Run the app

npm start

second app instance not working

The createCanvas call throws an error, and the error handling code assumes that the error object has a data object, but that object is null. The error message is:
