It would be great if it was possible to either see new articles since I list viewed Daily (e.g. a nice red NEW tag on each new article) or a way to mark as "read" what is already there (perhaps make them semi-opaque) so it's easier to spot new articles.

It would also be amazing to have a #php and #wordpress tags, as these are my main areas.

Add Search bar in Daily now. if i switch fullscreen mode then i can't see search bar in new tab! nor i can search via ctrl + l keyword!

I think something like Pinterest do; For example Codementor has some great articles but there are some of them that are utterly irrelevant and plain noisy so they only add clutter on the daily feed, so we should have the option to mark to see "less" of those kind of posts, for some weeks now I have seen more and more irrelevant and plain dumb posts and articles so we should be able to at least configure some filtering without having to disable for complete a source.

• I don't use my github and google passwords on something I don't understand. It might steal my pass, because I don't understand how it works.
• As important as that is, People use sign in via other websites, to save time. Why should I re-enter my pass when I'm logged in.

The selection of available tags has some serious problems. How is it possible to have a developer-focused space with no tags for the most popular technologies (SQL, shell languages, C#, etc.) and frameworks (Angular, jQuery, .NET, etc.) but plenty of tags for things like startup, entrepreneurship, business, and life-lessons? How do psychology or inspiration fit in here? Do there seriously need to be redundancies like technology and tech, or development, software-development, programming, and coding?

The duplicates should be consolidated, the Pinterest tags need to go away, and useful tags that reflect real-world tech need to be added.

Explanation: When I attempt to sign in I am asked to enter my credentials even though I am already signed in on both Google and github. In inspecting the auth dialogs it appears that they are authentic, but this is a common phishing scheme, so I think it discourages creating an account.

I love this resource. I do have to say that it seems that over the last couple of weeks the quality of curating has declined. There have been a number of pieces that are just marketing and there are too many soft skill articles, some that don't even seem to apply to developers. "The Start Up" in particular provides way too many articles that I don't think are of interest or provide value to developers.

Explanation: Whenever i open a new tab, my CPU utliization shoots up and reaches almost 98-100%. It reamins in the same position till I open a webpage in that tab or close that tab. It does not happen when i select list mode. It happens only for thumbnail view.

Reproduce: Install the extension, open a new tab and see the CPU utliization. Close the tab and see the same again.

It would be great to have a way to filter posts from single or multiple blogs/sources. It is tedious to switch off all blogs from list except the post I want to read from.

We are looking for all kinds of feedback and we created a template for almost all of them.

I would love to see a button for reporting broken links which would also remove the link from view. Today I found an article that I was very interested in reading (Programmatically create images with the CSS Paint API, from SitePen, but the link is dead, and I can't find the article via a search engine, either. Frustrating!

Daily is the first thing I see when I wake up each morning - the computer opens my browser at 9:00 AM automatically, and I see the stories and articles Daily has prepared... AWESOME!
Following reading selected stories each day, I'm usually on my way to check my subscribed subreddits and other news sites... This has got me thinking, "wouldn't it be awesome if Daily could somehow integrate even a basic RSS management & feed reader ability?"

This would be without a doubt the greatest addition, meaning more time spent using the Daily extension, with less stops to different sites made every time I open the browser.

Daily is hands-down the best new tab I have ever used - always got relevant, good content to read, looks AWESOME in dark mode, and no intrusive ads or banners - BRILLIANT! I've set it up on all of my development machines, and have even set up a different set of tags at work! Anyone working on the Daily project should be patting themselves on the back right now 😎

While the model in the picture is indeed lovely, I'm sure you don't intend to promote an escort service here.

Some developers recommended the Daily, it's very helpful and I was anxious for use it, but Firefox add-ons link is not available. I want to use Daily.

Quick links are kinda broken for me (red ink). I would really love that you would add a customizable link menu just here (Blue ink). Green ink plus sign would allow to add new links.

Hello.

I really love how many good resources you bring together here.
However, the app as "new tab" is a complete mind destroyer for me.
It is not about short attention span, but it is a flow-killer. You want to go to a website, and before you can enter the url, which you knew when you created a new tab, all of a sudden you are distracted by the multitude of articles.

I wouldn't mind if I could get dailynowco as an app to open in a separate window. But for every single new tab, this really kills my productivity.

I hope there is an alternative to having dailynowco as new tab.
I want to decide on my own when to browse for news and when to work.

Hope you will find a way, or even better: just offer the articles on your website. Maybe it is just your product strategy to just offer this als new tab app, but this is the worst way for me to consume that content.

This is a great tool! Love it.

The share button for links only has fb, twitter & linkedin.
If you make a settings for users, let them choose which sites to share the links on.
There can be many sites as you know, the list can be long. You can still set the limit of chosen sites up to 3 or up to 5.

1. show info based on relevance & frequency of the multiple sources the info aggregation is getting the info from

• so if python 3.0 is in 100% of all the sources, then i'll be worth showing

2. highlights key terms such as the subject like companies, names, places, etc.
   so that the info is easily scannable

the media always did nothing but complained about info-overload for years, instead of valueless info, actually make things better and do something good

Explanation: When I open a new tab the daily starts and in the first two seconds shows the dark mode, but after that dark theme disappear (turns white) even when the dark theme is on. Also, the side menu is transparent. If I want to set back to the dark mode I have to turn on the light mode (where everything works fine) and then turn on the dark mode again (Now is fully functional as it should be).

This problem only appears when opening new tabs.

Problem

Daily curates the topics that grab the attention of the developers, by having this on every new tab it is hard to focus on the current task at hand.

Proposed Solution

Either having an option to turn off the daily extension for a given time or provide a way to reduce the noise which we can toggle between modes wherein instead of showing all the news we could have some motivational quotes, wallpaper, a todo task or anything that would be static what not.

If I want to switch to default new tab page I have to disable the extension. A button can be put in menu bar clicking on it will open a new tab page with Daily's content and otherwise it opens default new tab page. Some time daily page can be distracting. I would do less code and more reading :D

In order to get a quick overview of everything posted since the last time I looked at Daily,
as a busy user, I want a tiny list mode that I can scan quickly (think designer news, also the panda chrome extension actually does it great).
