This behavior changed in v0.9.0. If you had been passing the databaseUrl parameter before, and upgraded to v0.9.0 or newer, it is no longer used and this initialization error will be thrown. Dropping the databaseUrl and appName parameters entirely (implying use of the default app in Firebase) worked for me.

Hi @MarcusGV you need to initialize the firebase app before running the restore functions.

I got the same error.
I found should use <initializeApp(serviceAccount, appName)> inteal of <initializeApp(serviceAccount, databaseURL, appName)>.
Remove databaseURL away.
