I' m trying your bot right now. It seems to work with the command words, but when I insert a word, it doesn't provide any definition. Is it the bot still working? Am I missing something? I attach a screenshot. I'm using the last version of telegram on a Huawei P9 lite

I generated a card and my deck name is set to "English all" but the card appeard on the default deck

New features (tagging and changing the default Note Type) are working great, much appreciated. Would it be possible to choose a Note Type for each language, just as you can choose different tags for each language? This would avoid frequent forced syncs for those of us who have a different note type for each language.

I am the author of VocabSieve, another GPLv3 python program that serves a similar purpose to this project.
Compared to this program, it has much wider dictionary (online wiktionary, google translate, stardict, migaku) and lemmatization support and is friendlier to non-technical users. It would be great if we can combine the projects in some form, either by making this an alternative frontend in vocabsieve or by sharing dictionary processing code.

when I try to add a word to a deck via telegram. It's the first time I've used the bot. I've set my username and password several times (admittedly at first it was actually wrong) and checked them thoroughly.

Would it be possible to have an option for all meanings of a word to go on the same card, instead of splitting each definition on a new card?

When I write on telegram /start I receive the text "Write any word, select definitions and add them to anki!" When i type the word I receive this output on the terminal

sqlite3.OperationalError: unable to open database file

I have Ubuntu, when I write pip3 install sqlite3 I get on the terminal this text

ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement sqlite3
ERROR: No matching distribution found for sqlite3

I have tried Installing pysqlite3 ans sudo apt install sqlite/sqlite3 and still not working.

Thanks for creating this awesome tool. I would like to know if it is possible to change the default Note Type used by the bot to create the card in Anki. If not possible, I think it would be a very useful feature to implement.

In my case, I usually do the words with a Basic note type (and reversed cards), that is, not only remember the word after seeing the definition, but also remember the definition after seeing the word.

Currently it only creates a basic note type, so I have to do a forced sync every time I change the note type of a word.

Hey I absolutely adored this bot.
However, if I want to use it now, no response at all. Is there any way to get this up running again?

I added my first card and the back got added to the note ID field.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to write. I was wondering if it would be possible to implement searching for phrase and idioms ( ' bite a bullet' e.g.).

Do you also think it could be possible to split definition and example in two separate fields? That will give the possibility to customize the cards on Anki
