I've sent an email asking for my watched history from [email protected] (IntoNow was a Shazam-like app that listened and id'd what you were watching on TV and they shut down on January 28, 2014), but I also have my record of @intonow tweets -- could that be used to transfer my watched history over to trakt?

When I try to import my imdb list I can get no further than an error where it says unable to login to trakt.

Fetch External IDs from TMDb for TVShow imports, the API for TVShows includes TMDb IDs which trakt does not yet support for TVShows. So we could further improve matching by fetching the external ids (IMDb, TVRage and TVDbs) rather than rely on Title+Year matching.

New API methods are available for TMDb since supporting Shows, there is a Shows Ratings, not sure if Episode ratings are available from the API.

I have a large IMDB watch-list, but when I want to import it to trakt, the program only imports 294 movie. This happen only with the web scrape option. If I use CSV file I get my whole watch-list.

I don't know if this is an issue, or I'm doing something wrong!

Criticker have a RSS feed which show recent ratings.

I also keep a watchlist at IMDb. The watchlist can be exported from the IMDb website as a csv file.

I just looked at the watchlist csv file and it has exactly the same structure (i.e., columns) as the ratings csv file.

I'd appreciate it very much if your program could be extended to also support the import of a watchlist csv file to trakt.tv.

Tried TrakRater 2.2.2.1. It imported successfully 800+ Ratings (total 15 Pages, (by Logfile)). But Trakt.tv is not updating imported movie rating.

This is what I did,
Authorised PIN Code for Trakt.
Given Flixter User ID.
Log file showing 13 pages of rating imported successfully.

But, Trakt.tv is showing nothing new.

I first uploaded my IMDB TV Shows and Movies lists individually before in turn manually assigning each item to my TV Shows or Movies list. I like to keep a watch list, but also a separate TV Show and Movies lists.

it seems trakt-tv-list-importer used to do this but there is some issue with it logging in, which I am guessing is due to a change Trakt made since the program was last updated. It does not look like it is going to be updated as it is still on Google Code.

I think I read somewhere there were plans for TraktRater to upload to different lists - can you please implement this? I would like to import some large movie lists, but I do not think I can handle sitting in front of the computer for hours manually assigning them! :)

• Perhaps you would also consider an option to overwrite or merge to the existing list, although I guess this can be achieved using the maintenance options.

I think it would be a good idea to fetch the ratings and compare against ones ready to sync. If it exists and is the same we should ignore it.

This will prevent spamming the activity dashboard.

I tried to use your software to sync my IMDB ratings and Watchlist with Trackt. It didn't work out... I don't know if it's an API issue or what....
I took a look at the Log Files and the returned errors are different. Using the same settings sometimes I get 520 and sometimes 502.

I attached some log files below. Any hint why???
Please let me know if you need anything else.

Problem TraktRater 2.0.0 and 2.0.1

When I try to import from IMDB I get this at the end

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

What can I do about that?

when i try to import i just get the message "IMDB: import string was not in a correct format"

Implement batching for import to trakt where not already done by providers.

Support for Watchlist import from TMDb.

Letterboxed will support an API soon, but it also allows you to export to CSV. It does not export IDs so we will need to fallback to Title/Year matching.

I exported a huge collection with my ratings from the IMDb website as a csv and imported it to my trakt.tv account by using TraktRater.

Now all imported movies have the date I imported them to trakt.tv as the "watched on" date. However, there is a column "created" in the IMDb csv file. The way I use the rating feature of IMDb the "created" date usually reflects the date I watched the movie.

Is it possible to set the "watched on" date of trakt.tv to the "created" date of the IMDb csv file when I import my ratings?

It is possible to use the Trakt as source?
And make the trakt copy for IMDB.

Hi, I keep getting "Error importing movie ratings to trakt.tv" on the status report when I use this tool. No ratings are imported from IMDb. Any chance this could be fixed? Thank you in advance!

Great app, used it to import my list on Leanflix (took a great deal of time to adjust it to the IMDB csv format), and "Ignore watched items" has been helpful, maybe you'd add "ignore collected items" too?

Investigate export from MyAnimeList

Create a ratings provider for themoviedb.org.

I have requested an API key for this, so lets wait and see.

It would be great to have an option to prevent adding movies that are marked as watched to trakt watch-list. This way, if a movie is marked as watched on trakt but is still on IMDb watch-list, then it'll not be added to trakt watch-list again.

follw.it gave the users the opportunity to export their history to a JSON file before the site closes/closed (Sep 30th). We can use this to provide the ability to import data to trakt.tv.

But I have a request:
Is it possbile to use your tool to transfer my data from te website followmy.tv to trakt.tv?
I used followmy.tv for years and it was a good website to save your watched episodes en Tv shows, but now the site doesn't update frequently anymore and there are problems with the used database.

So now I'm searching for an alternative and trakt.tv looks interesting.
I think you will help a lot of users of followmy.tv if you add the functionality to transfer data from this website to trakt.tv

I hope that you can help the (many) users of followmy.tv that want to transfer their watched episodes to a good working website again :)

I was able to fetch the list of watched movies I have added in past before using trakt.tv.
Relevant fields available from FB are:

• Movie Name
• Facebook Movie Page Id
• Facebook Movie Page Url

Is there a way to import these movies added on facebook to Trakt.tv?

I have 862 movies in Flixter.
Version 2.2.3 of TrakRater was able to pull 562 Movies in total.
Now I have total 620 movies rated in Trakt.tv.
Approximately 300 Movies are missing.
Can you look at the log files ? I have tried multiple times.

I'd love to run this tool periodically (with a cron job) on my NAS machine, but I don't have X installed, I only have a CLI available. Would it be possible to configure this tool that way or I need a graphical interface to do it?

Would it be very hard to add an option to upload from a local csv file? I have copied my Netflix ratings into a file with Title, Year, and 5 Star Rating and would like to upload them. I found this tool https://code.google.com/p/trakt-tv-list-importer/ , but it doesn't do ratings!

IMDb has a relatively-new feature called check-ins. The user can download a CSV list of these check-ins, just like the ratings.csv. I think the checkins.csv import would be a very nice addition to the TraktRater application, especially for TV shows where you wouldn't necessarily need to rate every episode.

I think you need to change your API request so we can get a PIN code and not to use our usernames & passwords

Series Info Cache for the tvdb.com doesn't expire. We lookup episode/season numbers in this cache, but we cache indefinitely which means if new episodes are added to that series then we wont be able to match up when importing ratings.

Note: trakt api does not allow tvdb episode ids this is why we currently cache the series record (contains all episodes).

A friend and I have both found that all movies rated/imported via TraktRater 2.2.0.0, Windows, end up rated as 1 at Trakt.tv.

I wanted to import my ratings from listal.com so I hacked together some code to parse the the xml file and then submit the ratings and what not to trakt.tv See link below for the branch. Let me know if you have any questions.

The code is in no way a finished product. This is the first time I have programmed in c# and I was unsure how most of the functions worked or how to use them. The result is that the location of the xml file was hard coded and the listal import code is going to run when the code/program is first run without any user intervention. Like I said in no way a finished product but it did work for me.

Hi.

Everytime I run the import tool using the .csv from IMDB movie ratings, 2 specific movies keep adding playtimes, instead of just ignoring, like the others on the .csv file.
