botit's Issues

Feature request: Only post if it's quiet

How feasible would it be to additionally query the Lemmy API for the community you were posting into and to only post if there was no posts in the previous -user defined timeperiod-

As a community owner I may be happy for a bot to 'fill in the gaps' between human posts, but where a human has posted in the previous ~1hr I may want to give that human post time to attract views and comments.

Regex filter

I'd like to filter some posts based on the title, as they're activities or events with specific formats.
This will be easier to do with a way to configure multiple regex to filter the posts of a sub.

Kbin.social account not working

Hey,
I created a kbin.social account but when trying to start the bot I get an error message:

[a@eos Botit]$ npm start

[email protected] start
node dist/scheduler.js

[ERROR] [LEMMY] Error while trying to login, host might be down
[ERROR] [SCHEDULER] An error occurred: Error: FetchError: invalid json response body at https://kbin.social/api/v3/user/login reason: Unexpected token '<', "<!DOCTYPE "... is not valid JSON

Is it supposed to work with kbin accounts?

Cheers

IF reddit post is NFSW

If a reddit post is labeled as NSFW is it possible for the bot to mark it as NSFW in lemmy?

Feature request - Higher upvotes required if post contains keyword(s)

My feed is dominated by Ukraine news, not against having some, it's important obviously, but I'd like a little less.

Is something like this possible;
If post contains terms: Russia, Ukraine, Putin, Zelenskyy require 1000 upvotes,
If post does not contain those terms require 500 upvotes

Latest update seems to result in problematic post titles

Before the latest changes, the bot appeared to use the post title of the original Reddit post. Now it seems to do otherwise. This resulted in the unhelpful post title of "Twitter / ?" for a post in [email protected] instead of "[Salim Nadim Valji] Hearing Mitch Love has had interest from multiple teams as an assistant coach." (I re-edited it manually). Likewise, a post in [email protected] became entitled "Blocked" (Maybe something to do with the sub being marked NSFW as part of the protest?) instead of "DIY 90MPH scooter update #3! Chassis fully completed & painted asides from top deck, planning on an aluminum + carbon fiber build for the top :)" Again, I edited this manually.
