Where it says

It should be

The Taylor series for this function obviously has no cross terms, which means the cumulants with more than one variable having a nonzero power vanish.

Branch

This problem is mostly solved in the 4 branch.

Now that we're getting pull requests, we should have a contributor's section listing those who have contributed.

The approximated probability distribution on solution text Pg9 is probably incorrect.

It's written as P(n) = (const) * exp(-(N-np)^2/(const)). The exponential factor should actually be exp(-(n-Np)^2/(const)).

Options:

• Write the problem statement directly into the main document. This seems like a good idea in any case, as it lets people who don't have the book view outstanding problems.

• File an issue identifying outstanding problems. This could be helpful for searching, but is redundant with the open problems in the document.

• Make a branch for outstanding problems with the problem text there. This is sort of contrary to the first option above.
