arduino_dy_irdaikin's Issues

Arduino Nano 33 IOT

Hi,

I tryed to load it on an Arduino Nano 33 IOT but the command "sendCommand" make it crash a few seconds just after uploading the sketch.

I am looking into this, if any of you already has tried or has hints on what could cause this please share, thanks!

Bug in setTemp/

In file
IRdaikin.cpp

in the "setTemp" function I read the following if:
if (temp >= 18 && temp>=32)
{
daikin[14] = (temp)*2;
daikinController_checksum();
}
I guess the second condition should be "<=32", isn't it? (it's winter and I am not brave enough to start the cooling ;)

Weekly timers scheduler

Hi Danny,
first of all thank you for your great job.
I'm using Arduino UNO and an ARC ir remote model for Daikin.
I would like to understand how to define and turn on (and off) the weekly scheduler.

In this case I'm using the dump and the decode methods but I don't know how to manage or repeat the dumped packets.

At this moment the easiest way could be:
Repeat the sequence of received packets (containing the desired scheduler configuration) and send it with the sendCommand method, but I don't know how do it and if it is the right way.

Here a sample of weekly ON with a 7days scheduler (I've captured it by pressing the “weekly” button of the ARC ir remote. NOTE: The weekly program was already configured):

I can notice that command is composed by 3 (or 4?) packets and each packet contains part of the full command. The full command contains the 7 days parts (in fact I can see 7 segments containing the 24 hex code). Each segment should represent the daily program\timer event.

The desired goal is:
Create a scheduler for the weekly program: Set the specific timer for each day and turn on and off the weekly scheduler.

Can you help me to obtain this task, please? Could you add this feature to your code?

I will glad to test it and send you my feedbacks.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Lomax

Arduino Nano

Just wanted to know whether this works on Arduino nano??

BRC4C151 not responding

Hello, thank you very much for the code, which is very convenient for the Daikin air conditioner self-controlling. However, when I tried to send the control command to the Daikin air conditioner with the model name BRC4C151 using the BRCPowerOnOff.ino file, the air conditioner showed no response.

I am using the Arduino UNO R3 board with a 38KHz IR Sender board. Could you please help me? Thank you very much.

NODEMcu

Can you help me with the Pinout with node mcu??

Check sum error will decoding IR codes from Daikin ARC480A8 remote

Hello,

First, I would like to say thank you for your excellent library. I have already been able to make my air conditioning smart using your library. Now the next step is to synchronize the state displayed on my automation hub (Hassio) and the actual state of AC. To do this, I wanted to rely on the "Bridge" example. But unfortunately I have some difficulty getting it to work. Here is my situation.

I get an error code when I try to decode the IR codes sent by my remote "ARC480A8".

Here is my wiring diagram:

To do this I used the Bridge example. The only thing I have to change is the pin numbers. As a Board, I use an Uno R3.

For this example, I looped between these two commands:

Here are the console errors when I send the IR codes using the remote:

So, my question is the following:

Why am I getting this error code, and how do I avoid the error in the future?

Thanks, and don't hesitate if you need more details.

New user

Hi.
I just started using this software and wanted to say thank you.
So far I managed to use the decoder. If it helps, the remote I am testing is model ARC433A50.
As soon as I manage to build the emission circuit I'll also try with a split.
Best regards.

Temperature range

With the Arduino I can only set a temperature down to 18 degrees, with the remote I can set it down to 10. How do I set it lower with the Arduino?

Help in schematic

Can You clarify the schematic on the UNO? Part Numbers of the components? Type of led etc.

Thank You

Could you please explain what the "SOFT Pinout" means?

Thank you for your project. Today I successfuly conntrol my air conditioner by Arduino Uno. But I'd like to use esp8266 to put in my local web. I noticed that in this project, ESP8266 is under the "SOFT Pinout". Could you please explain what the "SOFT Pinout" means? Why there are two pins needed? When I use Uno, Pin3 is enough. Please tell me why. Thank you! Best wish for you.
