Hi.
Are you able to provide the specific links which you tried? This might be helpful for debugging, as sometimes problems can be caused by the behaviour of a specific website. Please could you also upload the corrupted file, if you still have it, so that I can check its contents.
Which method are you using to trigger cron jobs? Ajax, Webcron or Cron? Perhaps for the 4GB file, the cron job timed out, causing the download to be interrupted. If you check the user data folder on the server, is there a partially downloaded file which would indicate that this is the case?
