Indeed you somewhat answered the question yourself - it is that way because of the way that it is 🤪

The first version of this plugin was using --in-place which did not have this issue, however:

• it was not reliable
• it was a nightmare with mutliple OSs
• it was a nightmare with the different Jetbrains IDEs

So basically it worked sometimes on macOS with IntelliJ but nothing else and instead of trying to hack something together that somewhat worked with all OSs and IDEs I switched to the current method.

To summarize you will have to live with that when using this plugin, sry 😞
