obsidian-mood-tracker's Issues

Editing

Hi! Thanks for a wonderful idea for a plugin. I think it's really useful.

Can you tell me how to edit previously entered data? I am translating tags to another language, but recently selected/entered data is not changable. I guess I can edit everything in the json file, but is there any more UX friendly way?

Synching between mobile and desktop?

I started using the Mood Tracker on mobile - after installing / enabling on desktop I cannot view my previous (mobile) entries. What do I need to do?

"Bored" mood option

Would it be possible to add a "Bored" mood? Also, it may be a good idea to open an issue where people can suggest moods.

Another thing, is it possible, in a daily note, to link only to that day's mood history?

Thanks!

a bug on momentjs

Hi, this really a awesome plugin!

I used this path {{DATE:YYYY/[M]MM/[W]ww/YYYY-MM-DD_ddd}} for my daily notes, and I found it good to translate “YYYY/[M]MM/[W]ww/YYYY-MM-DD” but expect "ddd}".

Hope you can fix it soon!

Buggy on Android S22 ultra

Hello,

I started using this plugin today and I have high hopes.

https://imgur.com/EY4hgPs

As you can see, there's a lot of space between the header and mood icons and the moods.

The select/unselect of emotions also doesn't really work. Sometimes it deselects, sometimes it doesn't.

Thanks.

Visual Mood Tracker History

After about 2 weeks of tracking the graph only shows up to 5 days of moods. Version 1.6.1 Obsidian on Mac, Sonoma 14.4.1.

Mood tracker timestamps do not follow timezones

Sorry if the title is a but confusing.

To put it simply, data saved in the JSON is based on the UTC timezone instead of the device time. For example, I'm in the UTC-4, and every timestamp is 4 hours ahead.

They seem to be converted in the app itself, but when I filter based on a date, every day is shifted by 4 hours. So if I filter for 2023-07-22, I'll get every entry from 2023-07-11 20:00 to 2023-07-22 20:00.

Thank you!

Typo in pre-entered mood options.

Just getting started with the plugin, thanks for the great work! Wanted to point out that when choosing Emotions (not the icons, but the emotions themselves) the preloaded options under the 'Sadness and fear' group have a typo in the word 'hysterical.' I fixed it on my end and have forgotten how it was misspelled initially, I'm afraid.

Bug with timezones for entries around midnight

Hi,

I added an entry at 2024-06-03 1:37 am. My timezone offset is +2:
grafik

The graph in Obsidian shows this entry for 2024-06-02 and does not show the details below:
grafik

If I change the timestamp to say 3:37am then it works:
grafik

Cheers!

Can't save the info to an existing note

When trying to add the mood-tracker's information into an already existing note using this path:

Journal\01 Daily\{{DATE:YYYY}}\{{DATE:MM-MMMM}}\{{DATE:DD-dddd}}.md

it shows that the file does not exist, even though it does.
However, when I click "ok", the message does not disappear nor does anything at all.

FR: reminder

I it possible to get this to remind the user to rate their mood on a regular basis?

This type of thing typically gets forgotten after a short while.

Without a reminder to note your mood, this will suffer from feature blindness/forgetfulness.

This is a concept I never see anyone talking about so here's a quick overview:

It refers to when users don't know a feature exists or forget about it because the user interface doesn't make it clear or visible. Out of sight, out of mind.

It's closely related to the concept of discoverability - how easy it is for users to find and figure out features in software. Low discoverability leads to more feature blindness.

It can happen either because the feature is buried in complex menus where users won't find it, or because there are no visual cues (like buttons) to trigger awareness and memory of the feature.

It leads to software capabilities being unused and value left on the table. The features are there but never utilized.

Common solutions involve surface-level design changes to make features more visible, findable, self-explanatory, and easier to interact with. This reduces the out-of-sight effect.

Unable to add group within settings

I have an iPhone 12 mini and the latest update for Obsidian. I downloaded the app today but I am unable to add a new group within the settings. When I press the button, nothing happens at all. The other buttons within the settings seem to work fine, and I can edit other groups. I have tried uninstalling and installing the plugin.

Ability to pick where template goes in file

Hi! Been enjoying using your plugin. I was wondering if there is a way to pick where the template will insert into my daily note. For example, I'd like it to always be on line 6 for consistency between entries. I'm new to Obsidian, so I wasn't sure if there was something I could do on my end for that, but if not, consider this a feature request. :]

Thank you!
