Whenever I try to copy the wrfout_d01_2000-01-24_12:00:00file generated in the sample test run (conus example), the container doesn't allow me to copy the files:
cp wrfout_d01_2000-01-24_12:00:00 /wrf/wrfoutput/
[wrfuser@5a53f7adcedd em_real]$ cp wrfout_d01_2000-01-24_12:00:00 /wrf/wrfoutput/
cp: cannot create regular file '/wrf/wrfoutput/wrfout_d01_2000-01-24_12:00:00': Permission denied
Any suggestions will be really appreciated.

Copying the first_part as our Dockerfile, fails on the line:

COPY data_smaller.tar /wrf/data_smaller.tar

Step 47/57 : COPY data_smaller.tar /wrf/data_smaller.tar
lstat data_smaller.tar: no such file or directory

I tried inspecting both http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/TUTORIAL_DATA/WRF_NCL_scripts.tar.gz and the commented out http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/dave/DATA/Data_small/data_SMALL.tar.gz, but could not located where the file is supposed to originate. Please help!

Make it easier to inject variables at build time for default docker image without explicitly editing the dockerfile.

The command on README_tutorial.md Example 1 in section 9 "Run Real, initial set up of files and namelist"
"cd WRFrun -np 2 ./real.exe/test/em_real"
I wonder if it is a typo that I should cd in "WRF/run"? and I feel a little confused about this command that real.exe is not a directory to have a "test" file folder.

I am using WRF-ARW v4.4. My WRF simulation has been continuously interpreted with the following error in rsl file.

FATAL CALLED FROM FILE: LINE: 1591
WARNING: Extreme t_soisno at c, level 1 1

and my_wrf.log
MPI_ABORT was invoked on rank 160 in communicator MPI_COMM_WORLD
with errorcode 1.

NOTE: invoking MPI_ABORT causes Open MPI to kill all MPI processes.
You may or may not see output from other processes, depending on
exactly when Open MPI kills them.

Currently, downscaling CFSv2 hindcast simulation over the East Africa region with physics_suite = 'tropical' and activated lake model.

I couldn't find a discussion on this issue, I would appreciate your technical support.
