I just implemented something like this into Mobile VR Station on iOS and there is an easier way. If my understanding is correct, the split will only happens on a 256 byte boundary. So instead of checking every byte, read 4, check for the key bytes, skip 252 and continue looping.

But also if you look into the format, you can see there is a header that explains where every sub image exists. http://www.cipa.jp/std/documents/e/DC-007_E.pdf

I am also a Fuji film 3D camera user. I was wondering if you could add a slide show feature to your very nice mpo viewer. I am currently using it with a carboard v5 headset and taking and the cellphone in and out for each picture. A button click to go to the file in the folder would be much appreciated.
