CertMan is A Coldfusion Administrator Extension that allows adding/viewing/removing of SSL certificates in the Java certificate store from within the Administrator.
It Runs on CFMX7/CF8/CF9/CF10
You WILL need access to the CFIDE/administrator directory.
Two versions are available here - CF7 8 and 9 and one for CF10 - but try both if you get an error in one - due to the older version using deprecated Java calls - it's not Coldfusion as such that is the issue but the VERSION of Java it is running on. CF10 version tested on 1.6.0_29.
Technical version:- Calls to getCommonDN() to get the certificate name are deprecated in later verions of Java and I needed to move them to getX500Principal() and process the list string I got from that instead. Other tweaks are just textual - everything else seems to work fine.
MACOSX USERS :: Previous to Mavericks, the Following Error:
Variable KEYCLASHALIAS is undefined.
on Line 40 of AddCert.cfm
Has been determined to be a Permissions Issue with the underlying Java. To rectify this error:
To fix this, add your user account with read/write access to the following file:
/Java/Support/CoreDeploy.bundle/Contents/Home/lib/security/cacerts
To get to that file, you may have to change your folder options in windows Explorer to viee the contents of the "file"
/Java/Support/CoreDeploy.bundle
IF YOU UPGRADED TO MAVERICKS: The Mavericks upgrade removes the previous existing JDK install (deletes a bunch of stuff, including the cacerts file!) It is Recommended that you upgrade your JRE and JDK to Java 7.
WHAT IS A SELF SIGNED CERTIFICATE?
This term has nothing to do with the identity of the person or organization that actually performed the signing procedure.
In technical terms a self-signed certificate is one signed with its own private key.
