We still haven't fully decided the direction we want to take the DDK, but one possibility is a Bus Pirate "replacement". This is just for the community firmware, i.e. for those who don't implement something completely custom. This thread is really to get an idea of how heavily what features are requested. I think we will end up implementing multiple serial protocol decoders, but the FPGA lacks complexity to implement every protocol for every pin or potentially even per channel.
