Welcome to the Mern Authentication Project repository! This project is a full stack authentication application built using the MERN stack (MongoDB, ExpressJS, React-Native, and NodeJS).

• User login and signup
• Password reset functionality via email
• Frontend built using React-Native
• Backend built using ExpressJS and connected to a MongoDB database

To get started with this project, follow these steps:

1. Clone this repository to your local machine
2. Make sure you have NodeJS and MongoDB installed on your machine
3. Navigate to the root directory of the project and run npm install to install the necessary dependencies
4. Start the MongoDB server by running mongod in a separate terminal window
5. In the root directory of the project, run npm start to start the application
6. The application should now be running on http://localhost:3000

Note: There is an additional repository for the backend of this project. Be sure to clone and set up that repository as well in order to fully run the application.

This application, named 'down2Up,' is designed for children with Down syndrome. The app aims to assist with speech and facial therapy. Although this repository showcases a prototype, the full MERN authentication setup is implemented, with MongoDB utilized as the database to store user information.
