Aiming to build EML file following these instructions and using same data used to construct readme.md.

One option is to link github repo with figshare

pander package produces tables which do not display correctly with github flavorued markdown

e.g.

Looks like function kable within knitr will do it!

If readme.md is generated from readme.Rmd but also stored under vc, then perhaps a better clean recipe would be:

clean:
    git checkout -- readme.md

which just gets the previously checked in version back out of git.
