qnap's Issues

Inactive entities

Hi
At the beginning of. Good job.
I don't know if it's a bug, but after adding the integration (my NAS is TS-453A) I only have part of the active entities. The others are inactive.
In particular, there is no information about disks. Their condition, free space, etc.

Ability to REVISE integration config and Ability to stop spam logging of insecure warnings after first logged connection

Per miss-filed issue-

As a verrrrry long time used of the orignal YAML integration, thanks for the work you did dragging that integration config into the new world.

Looking for 2 addition to the UI that were lost in move to UI/config-flow re-write

  1. Ability to NOT log subsequent "insecure" SSL connections (ones where user enables SSL, but check SSL is off)
  2. Since I can no longer just update may config.YAML, I am looking for the ability to re-run config-flow when NAS config changes. Reasons others have discussed includes, Password changes, and of course (hopefully) the addition of a new option to ignore potentially insecure SSL connections by this integration after first connection is logged. Alternatively (and clearly less desired as it needs to be documented in the main integration) ability to ass the same host again and have existing entity updated with the desired/revised config options.

Details on proposed solution, and justification in link above.

Apologies for the cross-post but only just noticed you said you are keeping this in sync with the HA Integration and should have posted here first.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

“New device discovered”, but already configured

Hi,

a while ago I downloaded and installed this integration, and it works as expected! I can see all configured sensors for the NAS, and they are logging data as expected.

However, since a few days Home Assistant shows me a ‘new devices discovered’ notification from this integration, while obviously I haven’t added a new NAS on the network. I also can’t ignore the device and can’t view information on it, as it will present the configuration form when trying to interact with the notification.

Manual needed

The integration works very well. It would be good to add instructions on how to add integrations to Home Assistant. Most users will not use your solution due to lack of information.

You can add information that there may be a situation that some entities will be inactive and need to be turned on manually.

I can help in translating into Polish if you want.
Regards

No external drive info for QNAP NAS!

When you connect an external drive to a QNAP-NAS you get no information about this in Home Assistant.

In Home Assistant qnapstats 0.4.0 is used.
In qnapstats 0.5.0 the integration of external drives is added.

Is it possible to integrate version 0.5.0 of qnapstats?

Thank you!
