As soon as running a custom element containing , this error raised up:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Failed to execute 'registerElement' on 'Document': Registration failed for type 'undefined'. The type name is invalid.

Also... seems your component is not upgraded to Polymer 1.0.0... infact you use tag "polymer-element" instead of "dom-module", despite in github is written a 1.0 update has been made.

Can you please fix/update the component?

UPDATE: bower install disqus-comments --save installs the old version!!! I replaced the installed files with the ones downloaded and extracted from the zip file and the component works very well!
