chrome-schismator's Issues

Errors

I get:

ls: Profile*/Preferences: No such file or directory
Be patient, this involves copying a lot of data...
Working on profile: -n Default
ln: illegal option --
usage: ln [-Ffhinsv] source_file [target_file]
       ln [-Ffhinsv] source_file ... target_dir
       link source_file target_file

Running normal Chrome

The installation script states that to update Chrome you quit all running instances and launch the old Chrome, then re-run the script.

When I launch Chrome, I see the following error:

Your profile could not be opened correctly.
Some features may be unavailable. Please check that the profile exists and you have permission to read and write its contents.

Any ideas what’s going on there?

Consider changing the project name

I posted a tweet about this project today, I’ve been using it this week and really love it so far. However, the feedback I’m seeing (and I would echo it) would be that this project should have a different name. If you’d like help brainstorming a new one, let me know I’d be glad to help!

My naming repertoire includes parseIntimate (http://www.zachleat.com/parseintimate/), A Font Garde (https://github.com/filamentgroup/a-font-garde), and tablesaw (https://github.com/filamentgroup/tablesaw), among others. I think we can find something better here.

Thanks—great project!

Are there undo instructions?

Hi,

I found this doesn't play nicely with 1Password. Are there undo instructions, or are any necessary? Can I just go back to using CHrome as "normal" ?

Thanks

10.11, Launchers not Created

Running 10.11, when I run ~/chrome-apartheid.sh it creates folders in Application Support/Google/Chrome/cdi* but doesn't properly make a launcher for each profile.
chrome_and_ryans_ -bash _172x65

Does not seem to work with Choosy

When I try and use this with Choosy, the chrome instance does not actually do anything when I click on the appropriate link in the Choosy 1.3 pop-up. It does when I click on the one in the mac Finder bar.

How to install Cisco WebEx Add-on

Can you tell me how to install the Cisco WebEx Add-on? It installs under ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ but is not found by the schismator-Chrome instances. When I go to https://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html to test if the add-on installed successfully, it prompts me every time to install the add-on.

Thanks for creating this project!
