I'm a Java developer who also dabbles in Python, JavaScript, Kotlin, and Rust. I primarily work on Minecraft Modding using the Fabric Mod Loader. A few of my coolest projects include:

  • Scarlet, an interpreted programming language designed for Minecraft.
  • Into The Omega, a grand RPG mod still in heavy beta.
  • Omega Config, the best configuration library on the market!
  • Identity, a Fabric mod that allows you to shapeshift into any creature!

Can't update the code to minecraft 1.17.1

I'm getting an "unsupported Java version" error when I change Java to 16 and gradle setting to the following in IntelliJ:

minecraft_version=1.17.1
yarn_mappings=1.17.1+build.14
loader_version=0.11.6
fabric_version=0.37.0+1.17

Is there something else I need to do to upgrade this? Thanks very much.
