Create Telegram bot with ruby

Steps:

  1. Create bot with BotFather
  2. Run ruby program with credentials.
  3. Deploy on Heroku

1. Create bot with BotFather

  1. Open Telegram
  2. Search user @BotFather
  3. Run /newbot and set: Bot name and Username.

You will get:

  • Bot URL: ...
  • TOKEN (HTTP API): ...

Use /help for a list of commands.

  • Create a Telegram group and add your bot.

2. Add Ruby program

  • Run ruby program main.rb
