I have modified the plugin to be able to use a different port number and database name. Let me know if you are interested in this modification.

We would like to use this plugin at one of our customers as it is interesting to completely remove the need for the SCOM environment.
However, the hard requirement for a SQLServer makes it difficult to use it as is. We can, and will modify it to fit our needs but maybe we can share that improvement with the community. If you could make me contributor, I am happy to share it.
I think we will use a local file on the collector to store the latest-run-timestamp. It's a pity that we can't read that from the MonitorEnvironment itself or via the REST interface
