I just ran this, and it imported the ship list without an error.
Do you have any journals in EDD? I'm presuming you do. Looking at historiclist function is appears to be protected against no history or empty ship list.

The easiest - and maybe only -way to find this would be if you find a way to send us all your journal files so that we're able to see what you're seeing.

Well I just tried again and it just worked. I'm sorry this isn't useful for debugging this issue but unless there's some sort of internal logs which can explain what changed, I don't think I can provide any more details to the issue. But it was, probably, like you've stated, an issue with missing journals as I did run the game between trying
