This project uses the exceljs npm package to show how to read from and write to Excel files.

setup

  • npm i

download translations from Google Translate into .xlsx file

  • Google Translate
  • star
  • export icon
  • save to Google Sheet
  • download at .xlsx file
  • copy to /backend/importData/

import data from Excel file into JSON file which can be viewed on site

  • npm run import

view site

  • npm run dev

run other Excel scripts (demonstrates write)

  • npm run addTranslation (adds an entry to the downloaded Excel file)
  • npm run createExcelFile (creates a new Excel file with content from code)
