I believe we had the same issue. It is about symlinks.
In our case certificates were mounted from a kubernetes secret. Kubernetes stores actual files in data directory and symlinks them into mountPath. I assume that's what is happening in your case too: "/etc/secrets/DB_SERVER_CA" in config vs '..data/DB_SERVER_CA' in the error.
We fixed it by adding an init container that copies the files to an emptyDir volume and our app uses that volume instead. It's obviously a band-aid but it works.
We didn't get the Jason error so it's probably a separate issue.

Also please report this bug upstream to OTP. It seems they indeed to not handle symlinks now. :)
