Update deprecated VS Code plugin

change the VS Code link to new VS Code plugin

The Brackets extension doesn't support Elm 0.19

Someone on Slack just ran into trouble trying to using Elm and the brackets extension. It appears that the extension hasn't been updated for Elm 0.19 and upwards. As seen here:

Perhaps it's worth removing Brackets as a recommended editor?

New package for Atom

I have created a language support Atom package for Elm, using tree-sitter, the Atom new engine to parse that is faster and considered the default

ElmCast/elm-vim may be unmaintained

Hi there,

my understanding is that the vim plugin ElmCast/elm-vim is currently not maintained. I'm not sure to which degree its features are currently working or broken. Some of its core features rely on elm-oracle and deoplete-elm - both broken since elm 0.19. (This may also be relevant for other plugins listed here and completion in elm-mode for emacs is therefore not working).

Elm Language Server

There is elm-language-server which can be used with many editors and instructions for vim clients. I would personally recommend this approach and collected a list of instructions how to setup tooling in elm-tooling/elm-vim.

dense-analysis/ale contains an elm make (only) linter

List is almost entirely out of date

All the editor plugins cited in this list depends on elm-oracle for auto-completion. Elm-oracle is not maintained and does not support 0.19. Everyone looking at the official elm guide gets pointed here. The community should really discuss and fix.

The elm language server seems to be the future, but there's no clear guidance for beginners. This list was supposed to point to such guides.

Sublime Code entry misleading

Sublime code has the performance-table sign, but it does not seem to actually have a performance table.
