fix text related issues

currently identified problems:

copying without line breaks,
copying with black background when in dark mode,
text in edit having white highlight when in dark mode,

browser used: google chrome on windows and mac.

Save references and projects to local storage.

On a new project (i.e on the homepage) save the references info (including title and settings) to local storage so progress is not lost on page close or refresh.

Save projects to local storage so that the user does not need to create an account if they are just testing the system out or only need to have projects on one device.

fix register page redirecting to home before showing "email confirmation sent".

the issue is that for a split second a user exists, and when a user visits the "register" page, they are redirected to home, as the user should not be able to see that page if they are already signed in.
