Steps to reproduce

1. Have a folder of > 1000 files (preferably on a slow drive or network share)
2. Rename them

Expected behavior
MFR should not lock up while iterating through the files

Actual behavior
MFR locks up while iterating through the files

Other information
Maybe look into putting the rename function on a separate thread, or have a "loading" style animation?

Description of issue
If a very large number of files is present in the selected directory, the Test Mode dialog runs off the bottom edge of the screen.

What is the feature?
When renaming files, append/prepend a number so the files sort in order by name.

How would it improve this application?
It would make it useful for renaming galleries, comics, etc. with large numbers of individual files but very little needed to distinguish them in the filename.

Does any current functionality come close?
Search and replace kind of?

Steps to reproduce

1. Select a directory containing files with similar names, ex. demofile1.txt, demofile2.txt, demofile3.txt etc.
2. Set up a process that will rename files to the same name, ex. "remove 1 character from the end of the filename"
3. Click "Go"

Expected behavior
A warning should display before renaming any files

Actual behavior
The first file is renamed, then an unhandled exception occurs.
