Number parsing input for `{{input type="number"}}` about rfcs HOT 8 CLOSED

A change of this nature requires an RFC, as we'd be changing a very public API, IMO.
It'll also deviate from what HTML inputs do, which to me is more confusing than the current behaviour.

@locks I agree that we need an RFC because it would change a public API. I'm also not sure if my suggestion is the best solution, but I think we need to do something so I wanted to start a discussion.

@luxferresum how about a proof of concept addon with a collection of coercing inputs? It would be a good way to suss out any problems.

Is it worth just not using the {{input}} helper for this use case? and use <input> with attribute binding in the template instead?
