I'm guessing this has to do with the XML response somehow becoming too big. The cafe has 2700 games (!). I'll try importing them locally and see what happens. Will report back.

Ok! I've rewritten much of the logic to parse the result from BGG. That made it possible to handle the error you got with that many games: The URL for fetching the games got too long. Now I fetch 100 games at the time. I've successfully imported BastardCafe´s collection locally, so it seems to work!
Does this mean I get free entrance to BastardCafé if I'm ever in Copenhagen?! :)
