I was always inspired to make this because I was always a bit sad that many commonly used new tab chrome extensions had paywalls that stopped me from further customizing my themes. Studio Ghibli is nostalgic and soothing, known for Hayao Miyazaki's captivating visual style. They recently (in 2020/2021) released 1,000 pictures for personal use, making this extension possible.
